The Josephine Sweater is a delicate and feminine sweater with beautiful lace structure at the body and sleeves. It is created with a high collar and slightly dropped shoulders.
The sweater is knitted with two strands of yarn held together (one strand merino + one strand mohair).

It´s worked bottom up in rounds. After the desired body length is reached, front and back are knitted separately in rows. The shoulders are sewn together using the mattress stitch. For the collar stitches are picked up along the neckline and knitted in the round.
Finally stitches are picked up along the armholes for the sleeves and the sleeves are worked in rounds until the desired length.
 
Sizes:
XXS / XS / S / M / L / XL / XXL - 76-78 / 80-82 / 84-86 / 90-92 / 96-98 / 104-106 / 113-115 cm bust circumference
The sweater is designed to have approx. 4-6 cm of positive ease, so the finished sweater will be approx. 4-6 cm larger than your bust circumference. The measurements of the finished sweater are approx. 84/88/92/96/102/110/118 cm
 
Needle size:
circular needle 3.5 mm + 3.0 mm / DPNS 3.0 mm
 
Gauge:
26 stitches x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm in lace pattern on 3.5 mm needles with two strands of yarn
 
Suggested Yarn:
- one strand Cool Wool Lace from Lana Grossa (400m/50g)
approx. 150/150/175/175/175/200/200 gr
- one strand Silkhair Haze or Silkhair Haze Melange from Lana Grossa (210m/25g)
approx. 150/150/175/175/175/200/200 gr
As long as you hit the gauge it´s also possible to knit alternatively with one strand of yarn with approx. 200-250m/50g yardage or with two strands of mohair.
