The sweater is knitted top-down. First, the back yoke is knitted with increases. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder and the two front pieces are knitted one after the other and the neckline is formed. After that, the front parts are joined and the front is knitted in rows until the required length for the armholes is reached. Then, the front and back pieces are joined and knitting continues in the round. Next, stitches are picked up along the armholes to work the sleeves in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up to work the neckline in 1x1 ribbing.
